Potassium Sulphate is the best soluble source of potassium, which can be applied in either dry or liquid form.

Potassium is one of the major essential minerals for all plants. It is often required in larger amounts by vegetable crops, flower crops and crop bearing trees and crops.

Potassium deficiency likes to occur in sandy soils, organic rich soils and also highly acidic soils. Common deficiency symptoms include scorched margins, browning of leaf edges, poor flowering and fruiting.

Note: Sulphate of Potash is a necessary supplement to some ‘organic’ fertilisers which have relatively low levels of potassium. Repeated use of these ‘organic’ fertilisers can lead to deficiency problems and plants can become prone to disease.

Ideal times to apply potassium are:
Fruit and Vegetables: At the time of fruit set.
Flowers: Prior to first buds appearing.
Lawns: Once a year just before the season of slowest growth.
