The Nisaku Nata Bamboo Hatchet No.4165 brings traditional Japanese craftsmanship into your hands with a tool built for power, control, and everyday garden versatility. Its classic nata shape is inspired by centuries of Japanese forestry tools, giving you a dependable edge for both fine work and tougher tasks.

Built for a wide variety of tasks, this straight blade can chop, slice and split dense material. Some of the many uses include weeding dense growth, harvesting vegetables and fruits, splitting bamboo and splitting plants for propagation.

The straight blade packs a punch, made from a highly hardy molybdenum vanadium hardened steel alloy rated 58 on the Rockwell C-scale. The blade is resharpenable, rust-resistant, and mirror-polished to reduce the friction between the material and the surface of the blade for the cleanest possible experience.

A smooth oak handle keeps the hatchet lightweight and easy to manoeuvre, reducing fatigue while boosting accuracy. Crafted in an elegant dark oak with water-resistant stain finish, a red strap is firmly mounted to the end, increasing visibility and ensuring safety while using.

The hatchet comes complete with a matching fabric sheath, fitted with two clasps to secure the tool and a belt loop. An additional plastic guard rests against the edge of the blade, protecting the longevity of the blade and sheath.
