Description

The secret of owning effortlessly happy, healthy houseplants is much more straightforward than you might think.

In The Green Indoors, Maddie and Alice Bailey will unlock the mysteries of plant care by demonstrating how understanding your plant’s natural environment, and the climate of your home, will cumulatively help you to find the perfect plant for your space. It starts with an explanation of houseplant types and environments, before breaking down how these areas are mirrored in our homes – think sunny spots in conservatories, draughty hallways and humid bathrooms, among others. It then profiles plants that will thrive in these spaces, and finishes with a troubleshooting section, so you can work out how to bring your existing houseplants back to life.

Full of stunning photography, botanical illustrations and clever tips and tricks, this book will help you grow even the most difficult of houseplants.

About the Authors

Alice and Maddie’s love of plants started at an early age. They helped their Opa (a Dutch grower of cut flowers) on his nurseries and allotment, and their mum (an award-winning horticulturalist) in the garden and with her cut flower business. Living in a London home with limited outdoor space, they first began experimenting with indoor plants before opening their first houseplant shop, Forest, in 2013.
