The Triangle Tool Library

A few months ago, we saw Landline visit the triangle tool library in Cobargo. These Tool Libraries are the brainchild of community-minded people whose vision was to introduce tool libraries into fire-affected areas.

The Tool Library in Cobargo was one of the first to be opened back in June 2020. Set up and managed by volunteers, the Triangle Tool Library provides the local community with trade-quality tools and equipment. This supports the needs of locals and visiting tradies assisting in the rebuilding effort. A lot of these tools are one-off, expensive items that the community can borrow. The library also has a collection of commonly held household and farm tools.

The Triangle Tool Library: Tried and Tested Tools

This is where we come in. With the car (and trailer) packed up, we headed to the south coast of NSW. We met up with Geoffrey, and the team and donated a wide range of garden tools and fertilizers from our Wolf-Garten, Burgon & Ball and Manutec range. We also provided worm cafes and composting bins that will be put to good use in the local community garden.

The Triangle Tool Library has made a huge difference to the community. They also provide workshops to locals on gardening basics to encourage more people to grow their own food.

The Black Summer Fires seem like so long ago, we could see Cobargo had worked tirelessly in their rebuild effort. Our tools are improving community life and helping feed families in a village that suffered immensely – thanks to the Triangle Tool Library.

A feel-good community story we’re so proud to share with you…

Our garden tools and fertilizers are helping a tool library in Cobargo provide the local community with trade quality tools.
